Wellllll the entertainment aspect of TED talks is what jumps out at me the most. More specifically the music part of the entertainment industry. Sooo, if all goes as planned and I can sort through the hundreds of thousands of them, I'm going to do my TED talk on seeing through mediums in music videos. I have a few in mind that would be great examples, but I want to think of some more. The one that immediately comes to mind is "Bigger Than My Body" by John Mayer. And I guess you'll just have to wait until the talk to find out why!
Good idea? Bad idea? Somewhere in between?
Lauren, I think your idea is great because in music videos there are so many different meanings that can stem from seeing the video and hearing the music. Also, talking about music videos in your TED talk will be sure to capture the attention of your audience.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Music videos are fun to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing them in your presentation. You were correct when you said you had a lot to sort through. However, if you're interested I recently saw the music video for Matisyahu - One Day; it's a great video and you might find it helpful.
